Not always, but in this case I think yes. By obscure I mean least related to cams, therefore more memorable. How many people look stuff up on search.com? So called 'category killer' domains are bland and characterless, IMO. Would this place be the same if it was called adultforum.com?

I've never thought that, though I can see why some people might. I think I have thought Imlive sounds more like a single-person-on-cam name though.

True. Though I always assumed the top AWE affiliates and/or people with "jasmin" domains were connected to LJ anyway, which is why they were allowed to use the name.
