Mainstream is nasty, but it's such a broad market that people don't often associate one bad experience to everything they buy mainstream.
Not the case with adult, talk to people who've bought an adult subscription and then been banged. They will likely NEVER buy another subscription to an adult website, period. Bad billing practices hurt this industry like no other IMO.
