Thats the only reason I could see why a mac would be more "productive" in any sense of the matter. WHen I had a mac it took way longer to do anything.
Reality is this.. building blogs, galleries and development on a mac is NOT more productive. Everything is in the most unusable spot, the damn bar at the bottom hogs real estate, the upper menus make NO fucking sense and change layouts depending on what is highlighted within the same damn apps. None of the "productive" features of a mac are needed. it's just "pretty" and rips off the old Amiga Workbench OS and many linux distro features.
The reality is this:
Give gramma a mac, tell her to figure out how to play a cd on it and eject it when done. Not that simple . .
and it's little things like that that have turned me off mac forever. There's no need of being "different" for the sake of different.
Ipods are a spasm. Period. They never read ID3 tags properly, throw songs in "unknown" all the time and if you are not careful itunes can wipe your collection stored on the PC if you don't check software settings first. Funny,, winamp and wmp doesn't do this lol
iphones are also a scam. Not just because of all the above mentioned flaws in previous posts by other users in this thread but also for the simple fact that you pay money for an app.. then some day mr apple decides that product competes with a product they want to roll out.. boom the next morning it's wiped from your ipod, removed from the app store and you don NOT get a refund. Android only does this if they late find out the app is a security issue.
I'll say ONE thing positive about macs though, the wifi on them are flawless. But then again.. so is the wifi on both laptops in the house right now.. once is a toshiba and the other is an acer.
Combined value of $1000 and does more than the $1500 mac I had.

That's funny. The WIFI is probably the only thing I'd complain about on my Macbook Pro and my iPad. I'm constantly losing connection or getting weaker signals than any PC laptop around. The Dock can be shrunken and hidden and Lion's full screen mode gives you the most space available on any desktop OS.
It's all about perception I guess ay? I'm just as productive on OS X as I am on my dual boot Windows7/XP Dell Workstation. Because I realize that OS X is not Windows and Windows is not OS X.
When idiots like yourself boot into OS X expecting it to behave like Windows you usually have a problem.
Or maybe it's just because I like shiny things. I do own a $120,000 Benz after all and I wouldn't be caught dead in a Hyundai.
