Any topic on slavery seems to miss one very important point. Over 320,000 white american men gave their lives to end slavery. (roughly 10% of the Union army was black bringing the total death toll of Union Soldiers to 360,000 who died from combat or in combat)
That's roughly 1 white american life for every 6 slaves freed. Would you be willing to lay down your life for the freedom of 6 others?
