Amazon has gone down several times since they used their cloud an will keep having more downtime until back out of it. Other major sites can't remember who have lots databases and worse trying to use a cloud.
The amazon cloud uses high end servers but it keeps everything web based which is slower then using your local cache.
They have been debunked for years they just want to justify the millions they have spent trying to make it work.
