It has promise but there are some plot holes:
> They have some sort of a probe that apparently can exist for 85 million years so they know it's an alternate timeline (hawking imaginary time). But it's completely irrelevant because they can simply communicate back to the future timeline.

> How can you communicate with the future through a one way wormhole? (Stargate does this as well)
> Iron ore is a valuable resource that people are fighting over. Why don't they just radio back to the future and have more sent over? They already have jeeps and guns from the future.
> Two child policy seems pointless if you are trying to reduce a massively overcrowded population.
