Well, in 2006 it was Newt Gingrich who said that the first amendment was being abused by terrorists using it for recruiting and suggested altering it. This stuff always floats around and makes it's way into a talking point memo.

You can google republicans against the first amendment to pull up the article.

In fact, you could probably google any political faction against anything and pull up articles, heh.
