The beleaguered electronics giant said the names, addresses, e-mails, birth dates, phone numbers and other information from SOE customers were stolen from its servers as well as from an ‘outdated database’.
About 23,400 financial records from the 2007 database involving people outside the U.S. are thought to have been stolen, including the bank details of 10,700 customers in Austria, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain, Sony said.
