All I can do is speak for myself. And say that yeah.. i enjoy a bit of shit talk with my clients about how great I am v's how crap thier last company was. What profession wouldnt?
No-where in my job description does it say I have to be the dalai lama. BUT if I can send work to my peers... as i often do.. I will. But on the flip side.. if i think a rival company offers bad value/service/crap skills.... Ill tell it how I see it. I.E go here.. dont go THERE. And I think thats a valuable thing to do....
Designers should know how to treat their clients... but equally clients should behave in a decent way too. And 9/10.... they dont. They think we do this for beer money...
