I didn't put words in your mouth. I quoted what you had typed verbatim. If you intended something different perhaps you should work on your communication skills and be a little more verbose?
So you agree it isn't right. We agree. If they don't have any money then they have my sympathies. But knowingly screwing people over isn't the answer either. If the site is staying up and rebills are being processed then the affiliate needs their cut. If they don't it's basically fraud. If there aren't any affiliates owed money then it should be easy. Pay them what little they are owed. If you're such a friend maybe you can loan them the few hundred on good terms?
