I have the Samsung 8000 series 55inch, it's a gorgeous TV with rich blacks and insanely bright colors. I used a Samsung wall mount which makes it as flush to the wall as possible and painted the wall behind it black.



It looks like a picture frame on my wall.

I do have one complaint though, and I think it's due to the ultra thin bezel design. Sometimes on dark scenes, like opening credits you can see a tiny bit of light in the corners!

I think if you have a dark room a Panasonic plasma will probably offer the most natural colors, but as far as aesthetics you can't beat the new Samsung LEDs.

edit: oh and if you have the means, you can try to find a Pioneer Elite KURO plasma. A buddy of mine has one that he paid like $10k for 2-3 years ago, the picture is the best I've ever seen. Absolutely phenomenal. I just can't justify paying that sorta money for a TV.
