We went to AVN/AEE in Vegas and then went to ANME in LA. We were told we would get lots of samples and swag. From what we heard from other show attendees is all the manufacturers and distributors were cutting back and not giving away the free stuff like years past. I did get to meet some of the distributors reps that I have just talked to on the phone. We are planning on going back to Vegas in 2012 for AVN and Internext but can't see spending the extra dough to show up a week earlier to go to XBIZ.
We really wanted to go to InterNEXT last year but had to head to LA in order to register for ANME since it was going on at the same time. This also limited the staff they had at the ANME and again no product samples for the retailers to take back to the shop. Both shows were very clique-ish and I guess scared of a dude on a scooter because it was kind of tough to find people to talk to about products especially in the big 4 Toy Manufacturers booths. I hope this year will be better but since the economy didn't really get any better I don't see swag being handed out like years past.
