It would be nice but shouldn't be necessary. Writing affiliate software that does what it's supposed to is not rocket science and they know exactly what they are doing. Hell, adult affiliates have always accepted skimming and other forms of assfuckery as long as they got a decent amount of money on their checks in the end. But no, it always has to be pushed to the breaking point.
Everything about this industry from the top down is designed to fuck over affiliates. Sure, there are / were some great companies in the mix that did things completely above board but they are / were few and far between. Now the industry is consolidating and being bought up by a few mega companies that got rich fucking over affiliates, are getting richer continuing to fuck over affiliates and who will soon (now?) not even give a shit to deal with affiliates at all.
