It make sense, because the Islamists groups are better organized and have backing from other Islamist groups from around their regions and maybe even the world.

These countries have never had true democracy and simply don't have the ground work set in place for the other parties. This means IMO it won't be very surprising if the Islamist groups are able to fill the vacuums of power rather quickly in the countries that have gone through their uprisings.

When they are all under Taliban like rule they will realize they fucked up..
