You'd order your labwork at one of these places and you get emailed a requisition form. Then you just print it out and walk into any labcorp to get your blood drawn. Your results will be emailed / posted online in a few days.
Labcorp is likely the same lab your doctor uses when they give you a lab order. I think it's the largest lab in the US with multiple offices in every city.
The only difference is the price. The same labs ordered by your doctor would cost significantly more than if you ordered them by yourself. |
I so totally appreciate this! In one of those weird twist of the universe things, I had a scheduled doctor's appt after I first posted in this thread. He ordered a TSH lab, and it came back outside the range. So they are going to do other other tests on it...not sure if it is the T3 or T4 that you spoke of.
