Offline lives in a world controlled. How did we manage before the Internet?
A controlled media brought down a President.
Brought down a UK Government.
Recently put MPs in jail.
Now might put cricketers in jail.

Do you see Governments trying to control offline media so they're not exposed as corrupt?

No of course not, you're grabbing at straws. Why is what has me thinking you have other reasons. Am I wrong to think that?
