Ahhh nice one NetHorse... after looking at the link, i've discovered that radeon use the first 2 numbers for the series, & the last 2 for the level in each series..
30, 40, 50 & 70s...

so mine, the 5470 is the higher entry level with the 5970 being the high top level.. the 5870 certainly looks a nice piece of technology
