I bought a Linksys E2500 for my mother a while back while I was visiting. She's completely technologically illiterate and I haven't had a single "my Internet isn't working call".
I'd say it passes the test for ease of use. The range, while I was there, was excellent as well and I was using an N Lappy with G phone... no issues and full N speed on the laptop.

(I'm a network admin and I hate netgear... it's all about personal taste and past experiences, I prefer Cisco/Linksys)
