Perhaps. But doesn't the fact that she told him she had the video and that he "brushed it off" prior to her posting it smack of extortion? Combine that with the message she posted with the video saying "do not allow this man to be re-elected again" and it gives his version that she would make him sorry if he cut her off more credence. I'm not saying your interpretation is wrong, but without personally knowing the character of any of them, I would be more likely to believe your scenario if there were any other collaborative evidence to suggest a history of abuse than just this one video.

Nice try, but the last time I raised a hand against anyone was in elementary school. (Though, I still flagellate myself daily, if that makes you feel any better

) My parents were loathe to use the belt until my bad behavior pushed them to it. At one point I was getting out of control and one particular whipping turned me around for good. I hate to think of the person I would have become if they hadn't.
While I think corporeal punishment is justified at times, but only as a last resort. Additionally, I don't think any parent should raise their hand to their child when they are angry - or else you get something akin to this video.
