Hmm I would have to see a side my side comparison. My guess is the Canon will be more reliable in the field but I have no experience with Red cameras.

I have 10k worth of Canon glass so I may just be renting it when its readily available.
This will save editors tons of time now that there is XLR audio. The footage I saw from this camera looks
amazing.
