I've never heard of an Alpine Coaster but I have been down this Alpine Slide a number of times. When I was a kid, I took a corner too fast and flipped it. Ended up sliding down concrete on my arm and pretty much burned a bunch of skin off.
The coaster option looks much safer and would allow people to enjoy the view more instead of worrying about controlling the cart or whatever that thing is called.
