I didn't like the lackadaisical attitude about this from Zombaio every time I contacted them over the past 13 days. It was kinda like a "don't call us, we'll call you" type of sentiment I felt.
If I was in the business of processing payments for clients and getting them their money on-time, and for whatever reason, that failed, I'd make it a HUGE priority to get it resolved---and fast. I don't care what you need to do, get on the phone, call somebody, WAKE somebody up in Netherlands or Sweden or the Cayman Islands, or wherever the heck they are and GET SOME ANSWERS and then relay them back to your client with conviction.
Not good when it comes to money. As you said, it's a business. Hard to run a business when you don't have your money on time that you counted on. Lack of confidence that you'll get your money on time is a BAD thing in business in my "wannabe businessman" point of view.
Also don't quite get some of the "blame-the-victim" replies here, but chalking them up mostly to typical GFY trolling. I'm pretty sure if it was YOUR money, you'd be upset about it too; and probably much sooner than 13 days.
I'm assuming most of those blame-the-victim replies are from those who don't run their own programs or sites, but rather are of the affiliate model. In which case, it's still quite ironic, because if the programs aren't getting paid on time, do you think you will too, as an affiliate?
Sure, you might not be an affiliate of my particular program, but speaking in general terms here.
Pretty silly to side with a biller who missed paying out a sponsor on time. Not sure what circumstance would make that a logical position of any sensible affiliate webmaster.
