Have you watched the news over tge last 20 years? Its been pretty well reported over and over The power structure of the catholic church, which is quite rigidly controlled by a global system of authority from the pope downwards, has been shown in thousands of cases that it has done this, and that authority strucure has not suffered any prosecution for it, by any courts in the world. Have you been living under a rock for 20 years or can't you understand the point I'm making here?
You should go to www.pennlive.com, and straighten out some of the idiots writing letters to the editor saying Paterno did nothing wrong. Someone needs to rip the Penn State blinders off their head.

Look at this shit:

According to the Sixth Amendment, we have the right to trial by a jury of our peers. The phrase "innocent until proven guilty" also come to mind.

When I read the editorial on the front page of Tuesday's paper, I began to wonder if, more often than not, people are now considered guilty until proven innocent.

If Jerry Sandusky is found guilty of the charges, then by all means he should be punished. But to condemn Joe Paterno, who reported the incident, is outrageous.

Penn State, as well as many other universities and colleges, has an internal affairs program that acts as the sounding board for crimes committed on any of the 19 Penn State campuses.

Paterno fulfilled his duties by reporting the acts to his boss, Tim Curley, who should have taken this matter up with internal affairs.

Had Paterno reported this to the police he would have been under fire for failing to go through the university.

It seems that many people are ready to be the judge, jury and executioner where JoePa is concerned.

As an alumnus, fan and graduate student, I stand behind Paterno and my university.

And here's a great one. Apparantly it doesn't matter what goes on, you can't break the chain of command, just like in the military.

During my 29 years of Army service, I was frequently questioned about our product. My response was simple ? good citizens, community leaders.

It was heartwarming for me to discover that Penn State football coach Joe Paterno is in a similar business ? producing good citizens and leaders. I have grown dismayed at The Patriot-News' chorus asking for his retirement. All who believe coach Paterno should have done more than simply report the alleged improprieties to his supervisor are demonstrating their ignorance of how effective managers and leaders should conduct themselves.

Just as I, a senior military leader, should not check up on the actions of my superiors, coach Paterno should not go behind the back of a man of the stature of his superior. The exception to this rule is a demonstrated unwillingness of the superior to carry out his appointed duties. Mr. Curley had not demonstrated an unwillingness to take the appropriate action. Therefore, I believe Paterno remains morally right in his actions.

I am compelled to assume your statement ... "this is not about his age" ... is as untrue as the apparently perjured statements of Mr. Curley.

This support from delusional idiots who can't see past good ole "JoePa's" football legacy and actually look at the facts and his lack of action is killing me. I'm going to have to stop watching the news and reading the updates online.
