They said he still has his job "at this time." He could be let go, too. I think he's getting some leniency because he was a student at the time he witnessed the rape. I think it's bullshit. At this point, anyone who had any knowledge should be fucking fired. What gets me even more is all the brainwashed people here in central PA who think JoePa is getting screwed over.
I've heard people say the board of trustees needed a "fall guy" so they picked on Joe. I've heard people say Joe couldn't do more, because if he broke the chain of command (reporting to his superiors) he would have been fired for checking up on his bosses. I actually heard a teacher this morning try to justify that, saying if he sees something at his school, he is required to report it to the administration, and then he should stay out of it. My response was "this isn't walking in on some kid smoking a joint in the boys room!"
The best one I heard today was that JoePa couldn't call authorities because of privacy laws...doing so would have violated the victim's privacy. Huh? Seriously, these are the people I'm surrounded with in central PA right now.
