I just read this article this morning. It's about research by a cardiologist who proposes that today's wheat hybrids contain new proteins that our bodies can't deal with, and which are a leading contributor to diabetes, obesity, and other ailments. He proposes trying a wheat-free diet to see if your life improves (and he seems fairly certain it will.)
