Assume you made 1 site per day every day so you average 30 sites per month. You submit them to directories and have them update 1-2 times per month and you can get some decent longtail search results. Now assume out of each 30 sites you can get 15 sales per month. That means after one year of doing this you will have approx 360 sites making round 180 sales per month which will make you an average of $5, 400 per month.
After two years you are making around $10,800. After three years $16,200 per month. So after three years of doing this if everything goes perfectly you will have made around $388K. So you are about 1/3rd of the way there.
If you could could make 1 site per day that consistently made 1 sale per month then after three years you would be close to having $800K. The trick is keeping all the old sites getting traffic and staying relevant while building new ones.
It could be done, but it would be very hard to do.
