Probably for the same reasons that most actual rape victims don't come forward tbh.

Most of us don't want to admit we're even being raped, even if we know it's happening. If we can keep up appearances, we'd rather do that then go through the long slow painful process of doing something about it. Nobody wants to admit they're affected.

As for protesting, you can do that through your lifestyle choices. Be careful with your money. Spend less than what you make. Wait for things you want to be the right price before you buy them. Don't buy designer things that cost 4x as much. Review all your monthly bills and make smart changes. Do without. Drive an older car, if you need one. Diversify.

Every one of us has an opportunity to "game the system" by being responsible. Take control of your life. The rape is really most effective when people ignore its happening, so don't be one of those people.
