Although adult can give you some experience, mainstream sales are completely different from adult.

However if you are just sarting in mainstream, I would not recommend adsense or any affiliate sponsors.

I would recommend building 2-5 blogs, getting a lot of links, filling them with content, submit it to news places and after 3-6 months, sell advertising like buysellads or such. You will get marketing companies contacting you, because they spend millions per day brand building and buying ads on sites for their clients.

If you can think for 3-6 months, you will make some money, then, rinse and repeat until you reach your goal, lets say 10K per month.
