You have two groups of people who claim the same land, but one of them has a long term functioning government. The take Middle East out of it. I love this argument too... The Basque is a group of people, a culture into itself, that exists in the are of France and Spain. They have their own laws, culture, practices, customs, and even their own language. They demand the right to form their own government, but the land they live in belongs to France and Spain. Clearly France and Spain is under no obligation to give up large portions of their land so someone else can create a new country. (The Basque even have their own terrorists, I believe they are called the ETA?)

What if the Amish suddenly decided to rise up, declare they wanted their own country of their own and suddenly demanded they wanted one third of state of Pennsylvania?

I'm not saying Israel is right. Clearly their intention is to continue grabbing as much land as they can while they can.

Whatever, the two sides need to cut it out already. This has been going on since the creation of Israel, and clearly Israel isn't moving any time soon.
