To criticize Reagan by saying there wasn't enough R&D in the 80s is like calling Clinton a prude. There are plenty of valid criticisms, but that claim is silly.

but from my understanding 'reaganomics' is just a throw up of histories 'horse and sparrow' economics
he also increased defense spending by 40%
which may have had something to do with the economic crash of the 80s
