That is exactly what they did.
After you buy a domain, you have to get a ICANN ID in order to activate it. That's when they can look at your domain and decide if they want it or not.
I'm not really upset over it, that's what I get for buying a couple. But I think it's funny that it's playing out exactly how people thought it would.
