M*A*S*H was huge when I was a kid. Many would argue the best sitcom in TV history.

I loved the Henry Blake character, who had to be killed off because the actor demanded more money after a couple of seasons. It's a tribute to the writers of the show and Harry Morgan that the Colonel Potter character was such a great replacement, as good or better - he was awesome, humane, grumpy, witty.

Winchester was also a great replacement for Frank Burns. BJ Hunnicutt, not so much, he was the only character I didn't like.
