DWB, Further to your email to customer support we have looked into this and it was clearly an error on DirecNIC's part, for which we believe they have admitted and apologized to you.
The names in question were both purchases within 95 seconds of the registry opening by two separate registrants via Name.com.
It appears however that there are other, similar names available, including one premium domain if you would like to contact me to discuss.
