Many universities have done this. Probably all of them. They purchase their universityname.xxx, theirteam(s).xxx, it goes on and on. These places have no reason to own such a thing but do to avoid parodies and such.
Pretty much anyone who owns anything at all susceptible to public scrutiny is, or is looking to, purchase the .xxx of it.
What a big joke this all is and they're laughing to the bank, meanwhile the non-adult crowd is hating the porn industry even more now.
