Also, did you notice that when he visited Jimmy at his house, he refused to have a drink with him? When he visited his brother (the scene on the porch), he accepted his drink. I don't think these things are accidents. The writers are responsible for the Sopranos also, and they would always add subtle things like that. It all means something.
