3D TV's sell like crazy. I worked in retail for a bit and sold a shit ton of them. A buddy of mine works at BestBuy now and sells a ton.
When people go to the theater, they wear glasses. What's the big deal? The selling point is being able to bring the theater to your home, glasses or not. People love being able to buy a nice, big, 3d tv and sit in the comfort of their own home to watch tv, football and anything else. It can pay for itself...the tv that is.
I bought a 3D tv because I got one hell of a deal on it. I've never been a big 3d fan but it's still neat. Once my daughter is old enough to watch tv more than 5 minutes, I'll let her use it. I've got plenty of 3d movies that she'll love now too.
