yes.
Mainly that the card is not present . The card holder is the client of the bank , and they will keep them happy , mainly that they know that it is the merchant that will get nailed for it, plus fees .
A few years ago, I suscribed to a one month T-Mobile plan ( I was in Florida for 3 weeks only ). I paid with my cc. Back home, I saw that they had charged a renewal. I called them , faxed them my airplane ticket : they would not budge and in fact added a third month.
I called my CC bank, explained that I wanted the 2 past month reversed. Right away , the clerk said it would be better to charge back the whole thing ( 3 months.. ) . That is what was done : T-Mobile ate it , plus fees .
