This bill won't do anything to stop theft of digital content. The largest percentage of violators come from countries who refuse to comply with DMCA complaints, hacker complaints, spam complaints, etc. Being able to take down websites in the US or block them in the US won't do a damn thing to sites hosted in these safe harbor countries.

Like most laws passed in the US lately which have the potential to impact on liberty this bill is a trojan horse, hiding the tools certain entities want to use for purposes that aren't listed in the description of the contents but none the less enable it to be used for just about anything they want to use it for.

Don't make the same mistakes the MPAA and RIAA have made for the past decade + and continue to fool yourself into thinking you can exercise any control over content which can be distributed in digital form. The people winning that fight are the small, independent content creators who embrace the digital medium, make something other than the content itself the desired product and are willing to put in the time and effort to make stealing their content much more difficult than stealing someone else's.

Here's a great example -

What will keep customers paying you for your product directly vs. getting it for free or paying someone else (discounted or not)?

Spending your time and energy on DMCA notices to protect photos and video?
or
Adding live access to your models with the ability for users to pay to conduct their own "virtual shoot" via remote?

There are lots of things you can do to not only keep your profits but actually increase them while fighting the pirates. Those who embrace the medium and make it work for them will win this fight, not the people who want to stop time and fight against technological evolution. Good luck trying to stop that.
