You'd be surprised how many times a child runs away or is abducted by a family member.. A parent cares when there child goes missing no matter WHY they go missing, it is scary any time it happens. Plus, many many cases don't get written up properly and so a lot of missing children go "unreported"
"Stolen AND raped AND killed" are some pretty specific all inclusive variables there
