It's really difficult to explain the length of time that passed without him "knowing".

I mean, people write "letters to the editor" and why wouldn't he want to see some

If he ran the paper to make money only then "Hey, how is it going?"
If he ran the paper for political reasons only then "Hey, how is it going?".

Somewhere in there he is going to get the negative feedback I would think.

And what's really more telling than the time frame, are his inept responses to the
questions about it. He comes off as trying to "protect" the ideas expressed, by
using simplistic dismissals.

It seems like he doesn't prepare for the questions because he doesn't care to.
Why wouldn't he care about someone writing bullshit under his name and making him
out to be something that "he isn't"?

I would be pissed.
