I wouldn't say they are "confident". More like extremely excited. And I'm real easy to work with as the director. I make sure everybody is having fun and laughing and no pressure.
Having been on set with a lot of other directors...I have to say that a lot of them are not easy to work with. And some of them actually seemed to enjoy fucking with the male talent and making snide remarks designed to cause them to LOSE wood!
I never have understood that. Why deliberately try to screw up your own scene? But some of them do. Not sure if they even do it consciously or are aware that they do it.
But anyway, I've never had that kind of problem. It's always fun and easy to work with "pro" talent too. But as I said...we've shot the vast majority of our content with guys doing this for the first time.
And when we do shoot with Pro talent guys, I always write the script to acknowledge that and have CM act all "starstruck" at getting to meet them. lol
