But George Lucas is extremely protective of his works. While others may not have cared of had a sense of humor about it, Lucas is probably least likely to look the other way.

LucasFilms has far deeper pockets.

remeber they made 2 pirates of the carabian films. thats going up against disny. lucal films i would think is small fry next to them.

Digital Playground made two "Pirates" movies. They did not make two "Pirates of the Carribean" movies. The only thing they have in common is that they are have pirates in them. Yes, DP's XXX movie made references to Disney's "PotC," but characters, plot, etc. were all different. They didn't go up against Disney or tread on Disney's trademarks. Your comparison fails.

It is their problem, but I, along with others are free to voice our opinions on whether we feel this was a smart parody target or not.

ps
the film looks fantastic. only let down is that cp30 seems to be digitaly made rather than have somone in a costume.
most impresed that they even got the voices correct and even (like the film) a fat bloke in one of the ships).
the daft thing is, if it was not a porn film, it probably would be a massive hit at the cinima.

It was a massive hit at the cinema, when Lucas Films released it.

You cut the sex out, and you have an unauthorized remake/reshoot of Lucas' Star Wars. Sorry the concept is so hard for you to follow.
