I keep saying I'll go to the gym "tomorrow," but of course, that never happens. I have an Xbox Knect, Wii Fit, and various other fitness like things, and I know where to find them, but have moved them around more than I used them.
So I rely on keeping reasonably healthy food in the house, cereal, whole grain breads, fresh fruit/veggies, cook mostly chicken, ground chicken and fish, and often find myself so friggen busy, that I rely on frozen veggies, brown rice, and prepackaged/rinsed salads. String cheese is great to stave off munchies, I like the peppered jack. For sweet munchies, the fiber bars like Fiber Plus and Fiber One are great to kill chocolate and sweet cravings.
Then I try to just put more activity in my normal movements... jog up the stairs instead of walking, do lunges and squats while brushing my teeth, and often remind myself to suck in my gut and stand up straight (actually challenging at first).
The one thing I know I at least do right is drink a ton of water daily and take good supplements.
I started noticing my body's shape changing slightly, not super noticeable but enough to tell the difference with clothes, and the only variable I can identify to be different, is the use of an inversion table. I first got it a few weeks ago, on a suggestion from my doctor for back pain, and not only has it made a difference with my back, I think I'm seeing more tone in my torso.
Maybe the whole regimen may seem odd, but hopefully you can glean some inspiration from it. I'm 45 years old, have had 3 natural births (average birth wt - 8 lbs), and sit on my ass for most part of the day and night, like many of the slaves to online here.
Before you try stimulants, try something different in your routine/lifestyle and best of luck.
