My girlfriend is a senior manager for funds at one of the big 4 accounting firms. So yeah, I've met a few finance guys. Some of them even make as much and more than you hint at making but of course don't.
Of course we rent in Bermuda, there's pretty much no other choice. If you actually knew anything about the place you'd understand that. Our rent is probably more than your mortgage.
