I did a test with the Sony EX1 and Sony P3 and nano flash recording at 50Mbps and 220Mbps , we edited all our tests in Premiere making split screens of all the shots.
We then made a Blu ray disk at maximum bit-rate, and watched it projected on a HD projector.
The was no noticeable difference between the two cameras or the Nano flash at 50Mbps and 220 Mbps.
The Sony cameras are designed to be used as video cameras.
The camera used is not as important as the skills of the person lighting and using the camera. Using still cameras are just too much of a pain.
We shoot in HD because our films are shown on cable as well as Internet.
