Most people run into that problem. Simple solution - don't have sex for four to six weeks and see what how things are when you keep your clothes on. Worked for me. Worked for most people through most of human history.
About the whole cuddle thing - that's probably loneliness as often as love. Love is a VERB, an action word. It means DOING things. Doing things for the other person that you don't really want to do, putting them first. Do you put him first, give him the better slice? Does he put you above himself?
I think my wife had the right answer when I first told her "I love you." She said "I know" because she saw me loving her on a daily basis, doing the action of loving.
