Either way, it's still a good thing. The uploaders are the true enemy here, millions of their links are now wiped from the internet. Even if new companies rise, the threat of them being taken down is now a reality. That threat might keep uploaders from spending countless days re-uploading stuff to a new site.

You hit the nail on the head. These filelockers created an industry for people uploading pirated content for profit, with so many sites disappearing overnight a lot of those uploaders may just decide to do something else to make money after seeing their income completely disappear overnight.
This business model is dead now
