I'm assuming you know most people won't read more than your headline, much less check out the facts. As smart as you are, I assume that if you wanted to point out that supporters of Gingrich were lying, your headline would have read "Gingrich supporters lie, say Romney had holocaust supporters eat non-kosher".

Perhaps I am overestimating you and in fact you actually expected people to first pay attention, then check out the facts, or perhaps you just didn't think through your headline.

If you're half as bright as I think you are, you knew most people would read just the headline, meaning you were spreading lies because you have no credible attack on the man. He's not actually perfect - there are valid and honest criticisms to bring up.
