to build houses for all
To support a health service for all
To defend the country
To educate people
To build roads and infrastructure
To manage the economy in a rational way
To provide work for all its people
To give all its people food and the means of life
Therefore all capitalist societies have to be managed or capitalism would destroy itself...
In fact Reagan and Thatcher with their nutty neo liberal economics have almost done that.
