I agree with you. I don't think the US should be taking sides anywhere or giving AID to anyone. I certainly don't think the US should have a military budget that exceeds that of the next 15 or so largest economies combined.
and to others...
Of course the Dollar is still in trouble and the economy is still floundering (in spite of having Black Jesus, Lord and Savior and Eternal Shining Beacon of Light and Truth in the White House). The EURO and most other major currencies and economies are also in dire trouble. The dollar was simply the first to tumble in the chain of dominoes largely because of the housing collapse and the total collapse of mortgage backed securities (much of which was also owned by European banks and institutions as well because no one cared what they are buying as long as its making money). All major currencies and markets are inextricably interlinked in today's world... when one flounders, its of direct concern to all.
